I found lacrosse in 8th grade during Covid. I was no longer permitted to perform indoors for my dance team, but I was able to run around a field for hours! As soon as I picked up a stick, I fell in love with everything about the game. 

 

As an active competitor, team player, and captain I have honed my stick skills, learned what it means to be an effective leader, and sharpened my strategic thinking through on field experiences. Playing at school and with a club team taught me about discipline and time management. I had to learn very quickly to balance school, training, games, travel and my other extracurriculars.
