I have spent a lot of my time in high school giving back to my Gulliver school community and the Miami community at large.

I have enjoyed playing the piano for 12 years. I have had amazing instructors and many opportunities to perform. By creating Community Keys I am now able to give the gift of music to children in my community who might not otherwise receive music instruction. Recently, arts budgets in the state of Florida were cut significantly. My goal is to help fill this gap in Miami. In 2023 - 2024, we fundraised $25,000 from more than 100 donors, with email and social media campaigns. We supported two wonderful nonprofits in need, South Florida Music and Young Musicians Unite. We organized and put together 150 music kits for music classes and volunteered during the summer classes. In 2024-2025, we continue to fundraise through mail, email and social media campaigns to raise enough money to continue to support the classes and volunteer in the classrooms. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience and an effort I plan to continue as long as there is a need!

Health Information Project (HIP) Peer Health Educator, President, Gulliver

It is an honor and privilege to serve as President of HIP, with the goal of making a tangible impact and inspire my peers to embrace a healthier lifestyle. After selecting a team of 53 enthusiastic student volunteers through a rigorous interview process, I lead training sessions to sharpen volunteers skills in health education, communication and leadership. The HIP team educates the freshmen and sophomores, and I ensure they are engaging, dynamic and informative. We lead workshops on essential topics such as sexual health, mental wellness, nutrition, substance abuse prevention, and stress management.

Link Leader, Gulliver

Throughout the school year, I serve as a mentor for incoming first year students to help them navigate the new school environment. When school starts in the Fall, I provide comprehensive school tours to help newcomers familiarize themselves with the physical layout of the campus and offer insights into the various facilities, resources, and key points of interest. I explain the academic programs, extracurricular activities, and support services to ease students’ transition into high school. Throughout the school year, I am a mentor and advocate, helping to ensure their first year is a success.

National Business Honor Society, Vice President, Gulliver

I have the honor as serving as Vice President for the National Business Honor Society. Every month, I lead and plan monthly society meetings to discuss club initiatives, community service opportunities, and research and schedule speakers for Society events. I am especially proud of our “Shoe us the Love” campaign, where we collected 500 pairs of shoes for the homeless. Recently I led the effort to raise our requirements for becoming a member of the Society, ensuring our group is dedicated and committed to reaching our goals.
